Vaibhav Sooryavanshi set a new Duleep Trophy record as the youngest batter to score a half-century. He achieved this milestone at fifteen years and 175 days old during the semi-final match. Sooryavanshi narrowly missed a century, finishing with an impressive ninety-two runs off eighty-one balls. He also briefly captained East Zone after Ishan Kishan’s injury. Central Zone was bowled out for 266 earlier in the day.
