The Bombay high court convicted Tarun Tejpal of rape and outraging modesty. This verdict overturned his previous acquittal by a Goa sessions court. Tejpal stated he is a political victim and will appeal the high court’s decision. Former investigating officer and Advocate General welcomed the judgment for justice. The case involved allegations from a junior colleague in 2013.
