Former Trinamool Congress MLA Asish Banerjee was found dead at his party office. A suicide note was discovered, which reportedly mentioned his political journey. Banerjee had served as a five-time MLA and held ministerial portfolios. He stepped down from a party committee after losing his seat. His body was taken for a post-mortem examination.
