Portugal have appointed Jorge Jesus as head coach following their World Cup exit, replacing Roberto Martinez. Backing Cristiano Ronaldo amid criticism, Jesus said the veteran “will never be a problem” and called him “a symbol of Portuguese football.” The 71-year-old, who recently coached Ronaldo at Al Nassr, now begins rebuilding Portugal ahead of future international tournaments.
