Amazon has topped the Fortune Global 500 as the world’s biggest company by revenue, ending Walmart’s decade-long run, but Jeff Bezos told Fortune that being big was never the point. The Amazon founder said pride should come from serving customers, not scale, as the company lines up a $200 billion AI and chips spend for 2026 with Trainium4 due next year.
