India announced one day of national mourning for Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, father of current Qatar ruler. The National Flag will fly at half-mast throughout the country tomorrow. Prime Minister Modi remembered him as a visionary leader and true friend. Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani ruled Qatar from 1995 to 2013. He voluntarily abdicated power to his son in 2013.
