‘Head in fridge, fingers cut off’: Husband brutally murders wife, then surrenders

A 25-year-old married woman was allegedly murdered in Guwahati’s Basisthapur area. Her severed head was discovered packed in a polythene bag inside a refrigerator. Investigators identified her husband, Ramanujan Goswami, as the prime accused in this brutal killing. He surrendered to the police and confessed to committing the heinous crime. Preliminary investigations suggest the crime occurred approximately 48 hours before the body’s discovery.
