A newly inaugurated bridge’s approach road collapsed due to heavy rainfall. The incident occurred just seventeen days after the bridge opened to traffic. Officials stated the bridge itself remains structurally safe while the approach road washed away. An investigation has been ordered to determine responsibility for the construction lapses. Traffic has been diverted as authorities work to restore the damaged road.
