For many students, entering an IIT marks the fulfilment of years of relentless preparation. But the pressure does not necessarily end with JEE. Peer comparison, branch preferences, CGPA, placements, salary expectations and the weight of the IITian tag can create a new set of anxieties, leaving even high achievers struggling with confidence, identity and belonging.
