Abhay Marathe, a 33-year-old lawyer, was found dead from a bullet injury in Lonavla. His family initially claimed the shooting was accidental while he cleaned his grandfather’s rifle. However, police investigation revealed inconsistencies and evidence of a dispute over property. Abhay’s grandfather Motiram Marathe has been charged with murder, and four relatives are accused of destroying evidence.
