Mark Zuckerberg and Priscilla Chan have contributed $4 million for the preservation of Alakoko Fishpond in Hawaii. The donation helped acquire the property for long-term stewardship by the nonprofit Mālama Hulē‘ia. Their initiative supports education about traditional Hawaiian aquaculture and native ecosystems.
