In light of recent floods from Nepal, the Bihar government has issued a warning about the presence of strange fish species in the Gandak river. Residents are advised to avoid consuming or selling these unidentified fish until their safety can be verified. Among these is the goonch catfish, locally called Gochita. Anyone who falls ill after eating these fish is urged to seek medical assistance promptly.
