Twelve retired policemen are facing an FIR due to a fabricated encounter that took place in 1991. A CB-CID inquiry found that evidence against the arrested men was false and misleading. The inquiry revealed that some men were taken from their homes while asleep and wrongly implicated. Licensed firearms belonging to their families were incorrectly presented as recovered weapons.
