Ten trains on the Kalka-Shimla heritage line were cancelled after heavy rain damaged the track. Soil slippage between Koti and Gumman stations left a section of the track suspended. This disruption inconvenienced many passengers who had booked tickets in advance. Meanwhile, rainfall across Himachal Pradesh led to sixty-four road closures. The state has suffered significant losses and over one hundred deaths this monsoon.
