Abhijeet Wanjari from Congress has retained the Nagpur Division Graduates’ constituency seat after a tight election. He defeated BJP’s Sudhakar Kohale by 3,271 votes following over 40 hours of counting. Kohale initially led during the second round of counting but Wanjari eventually prevailed. The elections for Maharashtra legislative council were conducted for five constituencies, reflecting some differences within the ruling Mahayuti alliance.
