Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has given the green light for the transfer of missile technology from the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO). This strategic decision is set to significantly enhance domestic industries, curtail reliance on imports, and elevate India’s capabilities in defence manufacturing, enabling the local production of guided weapon systems for military applications. Furthermore, this initiative will fortify the defence industrial landscape and encourage the involvement of MSMEs.
