A 24-year-old software engineer from Andhra Pradesh allegedly died by suicide in her Mumbai PG after her boyfriend reportedly refused to marry her. Her family took her body to his village in Prakasam district, demanding he fulfil her alleged last wish by tying a mangalsutra before cremation. The protest triggered tension before police intervened and the last rites were conducted.
