A significant explosion and fire at Qatar’s Ras Laffan Industrial City, a major LNG hub, has left at least 54 people injured and 18 missing. The incident occurred during the start-up of the Barzan gas supply facility. Authorities are investigating the ‘technical accident’ and have deployed search teams for the missing. While the blaze is controlled, the impact on the wider complex remains unclear amid regional tensions.
