Elon Musk has strongly opposed the United Kingdom’s plan to ban social media for children under sixteen. He labelled the move as government surveillance and censorship. French President Emmanuel Macron had earlier praised the UK’s decision. UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer is proceeding with the ban to protect young people from online risks and give them back their childhoods.
